Heart of the Valley Gala
The annual Heart of the Valley Gala, held each spring, supports ALL of our programming as our biggest fundraising event of the year and one very special, elegant, fun evening. In addition to supporting our Substance Use and Suicide Prevention efforts, the money raised at our gala in May supports the following key programs that support those efforts: Youth Engagement, Community Outreach and Education, TRACE Care and Resource Coordination, Youth Success Mentoring, Pathways to Employment Success, and Weekend Power Packs.
Thank you for joining us to make the 2026 Heart of the Valley Gala a tremendous success!
Until next year, save the date for May 15, 2027. Check back here for sponsorship and volunteering opportunities, and think about joining us in January for the planning kick-off celebration!
Give a Night Save a Life
Give a Night Save a Life is an annual event dedicated to supporting our substance use and suicide prevention efforts for Snoqualmie Valley youth. Delicious catering, abundant raffles, and blinky rings make this the perfect casual, fun evening to lean into our work. This year, we have two dates!
Give a Night Save a Life / Morning Light Save a Life 2026 dates will be posted closer to October.

Volunteer Opportunities
Honor the volunteer efforts of someone you know
All too often the volunteer efforts of engaged community members remain unseen or forgotten. The annual Rise & Shine Volunteer celebration occurs each year on the first Wednesday of June and provides an occasion to recognize the generosity of the many volunteers who work in the service of youth and families across all of the Snoqualmie Valley. Start considering who you would like to nominate now!
Thank you for joining us on June 3, 2026 for this important celebration! Please learn more about this year’s award winners here.
Next year, 2027 will be our 30th Rise and Shine Volunteer Celebration! Start considering who you might like to nominate for 2027 now. The nomination form is typically shared out every March. We will be sure to announce when the form is live through our newsletter, Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn. Make sure you are following us to stay in the know!
Become a Youth Success Mentor
The Empower Youth Network’s Youth Success Mentoring (YSM) program pairs adults with children from elementary age through the high school years. Volunteers work one-on-one with a child, up to one hour per week, in the Snoqualmie Valley and Riverview School Districts. Our program is continually growing, and we are adding more schools as well as more mentors.
Feed youth in the Riverview School District
Empower Youth Network is committed to helping students thrive, which includes doing our part to make sure no kid goes hungry! Weekend Power Packs provide supplemental food to youth in the area who may face food scarcity/insecurity over the weekends. On average, we currently distribute 180 packs a week.
Become a Youth Ambassador (student opportunity!)
Youth ambassadors spread awareness about free youth events in the community to help their peers find connection, have fun, and explore their interests. Ambassadors can also attend these events to encourage to further encourage their peers to show up, make new friends and get to know one another. We offer a wide range of activities, from ice skating, to crafting, to yard games and BBQs!
How to a Help a Friend (student opportunity!)
High school students are engaged to become peer trainers for the How to Help a Friend suicide prevention training. We find that younger students pay closer attention to the message when it is being delivered from an older student. We know that students go to their peers before adults. This training gives students the tools they need to have these conversations and help.
Education and Community
Key Leaders’ Summit
The Summit is a great opportunity for Snoqualmie Valley leaders to network and engage in relevant community conversations, collaborations, and actions. Each year we gather to address issues influencing the overall health and well-being of young people living in the valley. This event usually features a morning for networking, a keynote speaker and a panel of local youth.
Mark your calendars and join us on Thursday, August 13 at Snoqualmie Middle School for a community conversation led by an expert in the field of the topic we’ll be discussing (more info coming soon).
