You can go Back to School by becoming a Youth Success Mentor!

Remember the adult who showed up, listened, and helped you see what was possible? You can be that person for a young student in the Riverview or Snoqualmie Valley School Districts.

Becoming a Youth Success Mentor is a great way to get offline, be present and make a lasting impact through mentorship. The Back to School season is the perfect time to join YSM. This year, mentors AND mentees are closing tabs and opening conversations, because we all need more of that.

Can you spend 30 mins – 1 hr once a week with a young person playing games, reading, creating art, talking and listening? Discover the joy and connection of mentoring with YSM. This opportunity is also open to high schoolers!

FREE Kindness Month Movie on Saturday, November 8.

Celebrate and support Kindness this November by joining Empower Youth Network at the North Bend Theatre on Sunday, November 8 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. to watch the movie “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!”

With the motto, “We could all use a little kindness,” we are kicking off our Kindness Celebrations with this timeless story about the iconic Fred Rogers.

During this event we will recognize Kindness, talk about our latest opportunities, and spend time together watching “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” in honor of World Kindness Day and EYN’s Youth Suicide Prevention program.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. The movie will start promptly at 11 a.m. and wrap up around 2 p.m. on 11/08.

This free movie is open to all families. Popcorn, soda, and other snacks will be available for purchase. Movie is rated PG.

Empower Youth Network’s Weekend Power Pack program is preparing to support local Riverview families during the Thanksgiving and Winter breaks, when students will need additional food assistance due to the extended school break.To help meet this increased seasonal need, we plan to host a food drive at the October 23rd Cedarcrest High School home football game and invite the community to donate food items. Please ensure that items are individually packaged, shelf-stable and not expired.
