You can go Back to School by becoming a Youth Success Mentor!

Remember the adult who showed up, listened, and helped you see what was possible? You can be that person for a young student in the Riverview or Snoqualmie Valley School Districts.

Becoming a Youth Success Mentor is a great way to get offline, be present and make a lasting impact through mentorship. The Back to School season is the perfect time to join YSM. This year, mentors AND mentees are closing tabs and opening conversations, because we all need more of that.

Can you spend 30 mins – 1 hr once a week with a young person playing games, reading, creating art, talking and listening? Discover the joy and connection of mentoring with YSM. This opportunity is also open to high schoolers!

This year was awesome.  I liked everything, my mentor is very kindhearted always ready to listen and cheer me up. I love how my mentor is always so positive to me even if my mentor’s day isn’t going well, my mentor always does their best.

Thank you very much for all the help you provide to me and my family. Connecting with you has been a great blessing. From assisting with financial support to providing information about community resources, mentorship for my daughters, and a place to connect with my community. Without your guidance, I would feel isolated and lost.

LET’S BE SOCIAL

Does it ever feel like a lot of the self-care routines we see online are about performing wellness rather than genuinely being well? Jimothy is here to help us dig a little deeper! The Jimothy Wellness Philosophy, in 4 simple principles.(1) Be yourself: Jimothy became an internet favorite because of what made him different, not despite it. Sometimes wellness starts when we stop comparing ourselves to everyone else and start appreciating our own strengths, quirks, experiences, and perspectives.(2) Stay curious: Curiosity is one of the simplest ways to improve wellbeing. Approaching life with wonder helps reduce stress, boost creativity, and create moments of joy in everyday routines.(3) Adapt with resilience: Jimothy's story is a reminder that resilience isn't about having a perfect path. It's about continuing forward, making adjustments, and finding ways to thrive despite challenges.(4) Build meaningful connections: One reason people connected with Jimothy is that his story brought people together. Wellness is not a solo journey. Meaningful relationships contribute to emotional, mental, and even physical wellbeing.Empower Youth Network is wishing you a very well National Wellness Month! ...
