FEATURED ANNOUNCEMENTS
NEW Small Group Power Packing. Let's keep Riverview youth fed this summer!
At Empower Youth Network, we take hunger seriously! Facing food scarcity and food insecurity is a real challenge for many families in the Riverview School District. Our aim is to provide these families with supplemental food packs for each youth in the home.
How can you help? Come join us in our office this summer to pack Power Packs! We are looking for small groups of up to 4 people at a time to help us pack. This activity is best suited for adults and children ages 10 and older.
This is a good option for folks that can assemble 2-4 people to pack Power Packs, or anyone looking to sign up individually. This is a great fit for those looking to discover or build connections and foster a stronger sense of community in a more close-knit, low-key setting.
Get ready for Key Leaders' Summit: Transforming Behavior Through Connection! This event is free.
Please plan to join us for Key Leaders’ Summit on Thursday, August 13, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Snoqualmie Middle School in Snoqualmie, WA.
Learn more from local operational psychologist Jeff Holguin, PhD on how to turn challenging moments into opportunities for growth and understanding.
Key Leader participants will leave with practical, evidence‑based strategies for restoring perspective‑taking under pressure and strengthening communication across not only classrooms, but also staff teams, and the broader community. Cognitive empathy—the ability to accurately understand what another person is thinking, feeling, or intending—is a core predictor of effective teaching, reduced conflict, and stronger student–teacher relationships.
