Dr. Stephanie Pickering | President

Stephanie was raised on her family’s dairy farm in Duvall, where the Pickering Family has lived since 1884. She left the valley for college and eventually became a Clinical Psychologist at a children’s hospital. She and her husband moved back to the family farm in Duvall in 2010, after realizing there is no better spot to raise a family. Both of her children are in the local school district. After 14 years at the children’s hospital, she started her own local private practice. She specializes in working with neurodiverse individuals, treating anxiety, depression, and OCD. She is thrilled to join EYN’s board and combine her passions for the local community, neurodiversity, and youth mental health. In her free time, Dr. Pickering enjoys spending time on her farm with her spouse, two kids, and two dogs. She also enjoys biking, running, cooking, and reading a good book.

Molly Jensen | Past President

Molly and her husband relocated to the area in 1997 after living on their sailboat in Seattle. They have raised two biological children in the Snoqualmie Valley and have parented five exchange children over the years, including one that has made Washington state and the Jensen family their home. Molly has experience with several non-profit boards serving children and families over the past several decades. She was an earlier board member of EYN as it transitioned to its current nonprofit status. When she is not working with children and families through her private practice as pediatric occupational therapist, she enjoys traveling and supporting her international marathon running husband, hiking on the tree farm with Shadow the wonder dog, keeping tabs on all her children (from Japan, Norway and Germany to Denver, CO!) and learning even more about how to support neurodivergent children and their families navigate neuro-affirming lives. She believes “connection comes before expectations.”

Suzanne Boyd | Treasurer

Suzanne is a Snoqualmie Valley resident with over 30 years experience in Corporate Finance. She is a past President and Treasurer of a local district’s Education Foundation and is passionate about EYN’s mission of empowering youth to thrive. 

Mary Beth Crowder-Meier | Secretary

Mary Beth Crowder-Meier resides in Carnation and is the mother of two graduates from a local district, bringing more than 30 years of experience in education to her support of Empower Youth Network. She volunteers with EYN’s Youth Success Mentoring Program by facilitating learning sessions for mentors. Her professional work is guided by a mission to empower educators and organizations to create meaningful change and improve student outcomes, closely aligning with EYN’s commitment to promoting and inspiring youth to lead safe, healthy, and successful lives.

Chris Hawkins

A resident of Carnation since 2016, Chris is husband to his wife with whom he shares four children, as well as two quarantine cats adopted in 2020. He assists with a local BSA Troop and has coached a local district’s 3rd and 4th grade Lacrosse Team for the past 5 years.

Working for a nearby fire department since 2007, Chris has seen the after-effects that both violence and addiction can have on young people, and he is excited to work with the Empower Youth Network to help foster safety and success for all the youth in the Valley.

Rohana Joshi

Hi! My name is Rohana Joshi and I graduated from a local high school in the valley. I took a wide range of courses in order to enhance my skills in the career I want to pursue, and organizations that I am a part of. Some of these courses include Law and Business Ethics, Marketing, and Public Speaking. Additionally to my academics, I was also part of several organizations such as DECA, FBLA, TSA, the National Association of Parliamentarians, a community non-profit called “EduBlock”, and my school’s ASB. As well as this, I was a tri-sport athlete in volleyball, track and field, and basketball. I joined EYN because I wanted to spark a change and allow every youth member in our community to have access to a good support system. I believe that every person can make a difference in somebody’s life, and by joining EYN I hope to do exactly that.

Takako Wright

Takako Wright is a Snoqualmie Tribal Member and a longtime Valley resident active in the community.

Amy M. Jarvis

Amy M. Jarvis brings a diverse background in construction project management together with her work as a certified yoga therapist and mindfulness teacher, all grounded in a practical, community-centered approach to wellbeing. She has lived in the Snoqualmie Valley for over 20 years, where she and her husband have raised their child and built strong ties within the local community. Through her work and volunteer efforts, Amy is passionate about helping people develop resilience, connection, and tools for lifelong wellbeing. She believes volunteering is the backbone of a compassionate, supportive community, and she is honored to serve on the Empower Youth Network board to support local youth and families.

 Billy Ojeda

An educator for more than 20 years, and a member of our Riverview Community for even longer, I have been a dean of students and vice principal in three different school districts.  However, I am in my home district where I grew up and love.

“I love working in education and feel lucky to do what I love. In my career, I have always come from a place of service and support. If I can make either a student, parent, or teacher smile or be satisfied, then I have done my job. I want to make those around me feel special because that is the leader I want to be.”

I bring mentoring and coaching background, as well as an advocacy for all students to be included and have their voices amplified. As a former varsity football coach for a local high school, I also have been an assistant football coach, assistant junior varsity tennis coach, serving as both a head coach and assistant coach with middle school wrestling and previously served as an athletic director.

In my free time, I spend time with my wife, a teacher in RSD, and my children.  I also love to spend time with my brothers and their families.
