20th Annual Rise & Shine Breakfast

Every spring, the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network (SVCN) recognizes outstanding volunteers whose actions, over the past year, have helped create a caring, resilient Snoqualmie Valley community.

Community members and organizations nominate volunteers to be recognized and a selection committee from SVCN will review and select the award winners.

Breakfast will be prepared by students from the award-winning culinary arts program from Mount Si High School.

The deadline for nominations is May 4, 2016. If you know a volunteer, of any age, who should be recognized, please consider submitting a nomination:

The Rise and Shine Awards recognize members of the community whose volunteer efforts support promoting and inspiring youth to lead safe, healthy, and successful lives. Nominations will be accepted through April 30, 2021.

- Youth: A youth in grades 4th-12th whose volunteer efforts actively support and inspire other youth to lead safe, healthy and successful lives.
- Community: Volunteer in our community who goes above and beyond by leading efforts to address needs, develops and/or leads activities or events or volunteers in the background. This person's involvement benefits the community and connects with the Empower Youth Network's mission.
- Business: A Business that goes above and beyond by sponsoring, donating, and/or helping youth in our community in a way connected to the Empower Youth Network's mission. They are a business that steps up to help by initiating involvement or responding to a request to be involved.
- Volunteer: A volunteer (youth or adult) working directly with the Empower Youth Network. They may be behind the scenes, a chair person or a board member. They are dependable, demonstrate initiative and model follow through.
- Cheerleader: This person is a visible promoter and supporter of the Empower Youth Network. They spread the word and rally community members around Empower Youth Network activities. This person is an Empower Youth Network cheerleader.
