Drug Use: Conversations that Count!

Who should come?

Everyone! This event is for parents, teens, and community members who want to better understand substance abuse, the impacts, and strategies for preventing use.

Together, we will be exploring:

• the Hidden in Plain sight model bedroom
• the teen brain and how adolescence is an amazing time
• how alcohol (and other drug use) impacts the teen brain and how that is different than in an adult brain
• normal developmental behavior and signs of substance abuse
• strategies from preventing substance abuse, for helping a child who is using, and for supporting others who may have a child who is struggling
