Encompass Family Enrichment One of the Encompass core beliefs is that supported families strengthen communities. Our Family Enrichment programs seek to provide resources for parents, caregivers, and siblings of young children to be their best selves and help nurture the growth of the children in their lives.
Guiding Good Choices – For parents of 4th-8th graders. In this five week free course you will learn proven methods to increase communication around substance use and making safe choices for everyone in the family. Parenting the Love & Logic Way ® – Parenting the Love & Logic Way ®, presented by Molly Jensen, OTR – Independent Facilitator of Parenting the Love & Logic Way ®, is designed to decrease the stress and tension that often occurs when raising children. The six sessions are designed to help parents equip kids with character, compassion, problem solving skills and more! This parenting program is designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately! Classes are provided to parents in both the Riverview and the Snoqualmie School Districts. Parenting Healthy Children Parents play an important role in the prevention of drug use and other risky behaviors among youth. The Parenting Healthy Children guide outlines ways parents and the community can build stronger connections among each other in a combined effort to reduce substance use among teens. The guide provides suggestions for what parents can do if their child is giving a party or going to a party, tips for raising healthy kids, and other parenting resources.
Parent Liability Parents are the most important influence in a child’s life. Research shows that parents are central to preventing teen drug use. Protect yourself and your children by knowing the facts about substance use.
Snoqualmie Valley Family Pledge – By signing the Family Pledge, parents will be taking an important step in prevention potential problems before they begin. Parents can also inform other parents that they intend to supervise social gatherings in their homes in order to make sure that youth parties and activities are alcohol and drug free.

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism – Talk to Your Child about Alcohol This guide is geared toward parents and guardians of young people ages 10-14. This guide provides suggestions for building strong parent-child relationships, understanding your teen’s world, prevention strategies for parents, warning signs of a drinking problem and additional resources.

Truth Initiative, “Why Vaping is an Important Issue” Truth Initiative is America’s largest nonprofit public health organization committed to making tobacco use a thing of the past. We give young people the facts about tobacco and the industry behind it, engage individuals and groups to make change in their communities, innovate ways to end tobacco use and join forces with collaborators committed to a tobacco-free future.

Mental Health First Aid USA – Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues. Snoqualmie Valley Community Network hosts Youth Mental Health First Aid USA classes in both the Riverview and Snoqualmie School District areas.
